ANNUAL TRIVIA NIGHT EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
It is with deep regret that the Families First Board of Directors has made the difficult but prudent decision to cancel this years Families First 10th Annual Trivia Night event. Each Trivia Team Captain should have received a letter with an explanation and options for moving forward as it relates to their registration and next years event.
We are beginning to plan for the 11th Annual Trivia Night and will have information forthcoming. But until then please mark your calendars for Saturday, March 13, 2021 with a start time of 5:30 PM. We will still hold Trivia Night in the Gold Building located on the Tomah Fairgrounds. If you have any questions about this years event, the cancellation or next years event, please contact Jeanne Meyer, Executive Director at 608-374-4141.
Until further notice Families First is not holding any face to face appointments at our office. To maintain the safety of staff and the public, staff will be working remotely from their homes.
Please call the office to set up an appointment to talk with a staff person.
Please do not come to the office as someone is not expected to be there. We are checking our messages every day and returning messages at our earliest convenience. We will make every effort to maintain services and support to the best of our ability during these trying times and ask for your patience as we navigate through this with you.
Please take care and follow all recommended safety and care guidelines that have been circulated by healthcare officials.
Here are just a few websites for information on safety and care, updates and to get the most accurate information

Did You Know?
Homelessness, is a state in which an individual or family lacks a fixed, regular & adequate nighttime residence.
Over 50% of the children in Monroe County school districts live in a household in which inadequate income makes them eligible for free or reduced breakfast & lunch while in school. For some children, these will be the only adequate meals of the day they will receive.
It is legal for households to be evicted in the middle of winter; in sub-zero temperatures, for non-payment of rent. Whether children are in the house or not has no bearing in the process.
Water & sewer services can also be disconnected at any time of the year, for non-payment of this utility fee.
Monroe County has no shelter facility for homeless single persons or families.
